IoT Data Replication and Consistency Management in Fog Computing

Fog Computing has emerged as a virtual platform extending Cloud services down to the network edge especially (and not exclusively) host IoT applications. Data replication strategies have been designed investigate best storage location of data copies in geo-distributed systems order reduce its access time for different consumer spread over infrastructure. Unfortunately, due geographical distance between nodes, misplacing such an infrastructure may generate high latencies when accessing or synchronizing replicas, thus degrading Quality Service (QoS). In this paper, we present two manage and consistency infrastructures. Our choose each datum, right replica number their latency replicas synchronization cost. This is done while respecting required level. Also, propose evaluation based on simulator iFogSim enable users implement test own management. experiments show that using our strategies, service can be reduced by 30% case small infrastructures 13% large scale compared iFogStor, state-of-the-art strategy does use replication.
